Puzzle-Lock Tiles That Stay Put
Each tile grips the next with a tight jigsaw edge, so the floor stays flat under foot traffic and side-to-side movement. Once locked together, the edges don't lift mid-set. The tiles cut cleanly with a sharp utility knife, so odd-shaped garages, spare bedrooms and alcoves are easy to fit.
How Many Tiles Do I Need?
Measure your space in metres and count how many 60cm tiles fit along each side. Common layouts:
-
4 tiles (1.2m x 1.2m, about 1.4m²): a stretching or kettlebell spot
-
8 tiles (1.2m x 2.4m, about 2.9m²): under a flat bench with room to set dumbbells down
-
12 tiles (1.8m x 2.4m, about 4.3m²): a bench plus a dumbbell rack
-
16 tiles (2.4m x 2.4m, about 5.8m²): a compact home gym corner
-
24 tiles (2.4m x 3.6m, about 8.6m²): half of a single garage
-
32 tiles (2.4m x 4.8m, about 11.5m²): most of a single garage around 2.5m wide
If your room isn't an exact multiple of 60cm, round up and trim the last row. Our gym flooring size guide walks through the measuring step by step.
Is 10mm EVA Foam Right for Your Setup?
| What you're doing |
10mm EVA tiles? |
| Bodyweight work, stretching, yoga, HIIT |
Yes. Cushions knees and hands and keeps cold concrete off you. |
| Dumbbells and kettlebells set down with control |
Yes. Protects the floor and deadens the noise. |
| Under a bench, rack, treadmill, bike or rower |
Yes. Stops feet scratching or denting the floor and reduces vibration. |
| Dropping heavy barbells from overhead or deadlifting heavy |
Not on their own. Foam compresses under repeated heavy drops; thick rubber flooring or a lifting platform is the better choice. See our gym flooring thickness guide. |
Heavy kit with narrow feet (a loaded rack, for example) can leave small indents in foam over time. That's normal and doesn't affect the floor underneath.
Goes Well With
Mats are most often bought alongside free weights. Our cast iron kettlebells and rubber hex dumbbells are easier on the floor with a foam layer underneath, and the flat weight bench sits stably on top. If you want to compare other flooring, see the full gym flooring collection.

FAQs
How big is each foam floor tile?
60cm x 60cm and 10mm thick. Each tile covers 0.36m², about 3.9 sq ft, so a 16 sq ft pack is 4 tiles.
Do the packs come with edge pieces?
Yes. Each pack includes edge border strips so the outside of the floor finishes with straight sides.
Can I lay them on carpet?
Yes, on short-pile carpet. On deep, soft carpet the tiles can feel bouncy and may separate, so a hard floor gives the most stable surface.
Are they waterproof and easy to clean?
The foam is water-resistant. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soapy water after sweaty sessions, and avoid strong solvents.
Can I use them outdoors?
They're designed for indoor use. Leaving them out in sun and rain will shorten their life.
